Two different starting points, depending on who you are
Companies looking to fill an analytical project start one way. Analysts wanting to be listed on the roster start another. Both paths lead through our editorial team eventually, just at different stages.
Requesting a match
- Describe the project. Give us a short outline of the data problem, the tools you expect to be involved, and roughly how long the engagement might run.
- Get a shortlist. We point you toward the search filters or, for larger requests, put together a short list of profiles that match what you described.
- Review the samples. Read through each candidate's two reviewed work samples before deciding who to contact.
- Message directly. Reach out through the platform to discuss scope, ask clarifying questions, and confirm availability.
Applying to the roster
- Create an account. Fill in your background, tools, and the industries or problem types you focus on.
- Take the assessment. Complete the standardized skills test, which is scored the same way regardless of your background.
- Submit two work samples. Provide two examples of prior analytical work for our editorial team to review.
- Get a decision. You'll hear back once the samples have been reviewed, whether approved, rejected, or asked to revise.
A few things worth knowing either way
Review takes time
Editorial review of work samples is done by people, not automated scoring, so approvals typically take a couple of weeks rather than a couple of days.
Samples should be your own work
Reviewers check that submitted samples reflect the applicant's actual contribution, not a team project presented as solo work.
Companies still do their own diligence
A platform approval isn't a substitute for a company's own interview or reference check process.
Support is available for platform questions
Our team can answer questions about how the platform works, but doesn't mediate the working relationship itself.
